Well, Had ENT dr. apt today, I love the new dr. :) We really didn't plan on switching, our old GI dr. had reffered us to the old ENT Dr. the New GI dr. reffered us to this one instead, she hinted this one was better and she was right, so far new GI and New ENT dr. rock :) Hope it stays that way :)
News: He had x-rays and Hearing tests done, which was a last minute thing b/c it was suppose to be an up and back visit. All I can say is I am exhausted, its a lot to walk w/ carrying one boy non stop and one on and off along w/ a packed diaper bag from hospital part of hospital to new part, for 3 to 4 hrs. Anyway sorry for sidetract :) X-rays good, his adnoids are good, they don't need taken out. As for hearing test he failed :( But he has fluid in one ear. His eardrums work. they did three different types of tests. Two test one ear at a time for different things of the ear and the final was to see how he could hear, and the first two only left ear failed and last, he just failed. He will have to get tubes in his ears. After he gets tubes in his ears they will wait a month and recheck his hearing to see if better or not. Other reasons for tubes is the fluid and also going to see if that is why his speech is slow and if thats why he is off balance. try to knock off a piece of the puzzle. If it dont help, then they know more is going on then just ear stuff and then we will face that battle at that time. Also, she is going to check out the twisted trachea and see if still twisted or not, if so will be put in plan to fix it. Also, she is going to do throat tests. Its all together but one part is putting a high power scope down to check out if things are working for ex. the flap that is suppose to keep you from aspirating, and then instruments that will vibrate in his throat and last part is hard to explain but is for the throat too :) long day hard to stay focused at end. So, basically we are going ahead a step :) She wants to help and try to find out whats up w/ CJ. So right now we have two drs really trying to find out whats going on, its awesome to finally have drs. on our side :)
In a couple weeks give or take CJ will be having a surgery to have his fundo redone at same time he will have a balloon put in to stretch his plyoris muscle and now along w/ that the tubes put in and throat tests. So that Means Surgeon, GI Dr. and ENT dr. all at once working on my son, getting it all done at once so he don't have to be knocked out more than once. Poor little guy's body is going to be wore out after all that. Just pray it helps.
Wow, you sure had a busy day. I will be praying that CJ's upcoming surgery goes well and that he handles everything okay. It's kind of nice getting everything done at one time!! Keep up the great work!!!
