Update...long over due

I haven't been on here much. Life has been crazy. Thought I would give an update.

CJ is still having difficulties with his feeds through the g button. When he gets fed he crashes. He just lays there, not moving or moving much. Sometimes he retches. So, for most time If we know he has to be in public or school. We feed around that. So, he can be as "normal" as he can be. Times like today still happen. Started a few days ago. His colon and intestines have issues. His colon decides not to work. He has soooo many different medicines to help, but it hits points where that dont even work.

Usually when this starts happening alot of other things happen too. His body starts to slow down and/or shutdown. He becomes a whole different CJ.
He is still behind developmently. Although, preschool has helped. He has hard time gripping and anything with small objects. Plus, holding things.

The most recent battle is behavior. He is back to rocking, shacking, and head banging. Plus, thowing objects and hitting. He is very sensitive hearted and cares alot about people and doesnt want to hurt. In the same time if you say no. His first reaction is to hit or throw something at you or even pinch. Then, he get angry cause he did that, so he starts his rocking, head banging stuff. We have all kinds of methods that we do with him. It all depends on time and moment and sometimes nothing works.

Now, not everything is negative here :-) God has worked in his life recently. His favorite food is taco meat. He on a good day will eat up to a 1/4 cup of it. And a few sips to 4 oz of milk all depending on day. His next two foods is pizza....he will eat only the cheese, and this is only way he eats cheese. He will eat at most good day on piece of cheese. He also loves deer meat salami, and it has to be Grandma and Grandpas friends deer meat, dont like any other. He will eat a piece in a day on a good day. So as you see we live for good days, and Thank God for them.

We try to raise our son "normal" as can be. We teach him you can do anything, and if your struggling God/Jesus will help. We have no "labels" from dr.s yet on him. We have this is happening and that is happening but cant figure out why.

I live so much for the good days, I can convince myself that nothing is wrong, then he starts having problems that remind me of the truth.

Now I do believe in prayer. We always want prayers. I do believe God told me CJ WILL be healed. Don't know when....God is in charge. God told my husband that he will at some point have CJs button fall out and when we go to put back in there will be no hole to put it in. On top of that there will be no sign that a hole ever excisted on him. We will know God healed him, and we will rejoice.

So, thanks for all your prayers. God is great, and he is alive and performing miracles!!!!!!!

  1. Thanks for the up date, Shelley. I am standing in faith with you and praying for CJ's complete healing. Also praying for all the family to be strengthened and filled with peace in the bad times and until the breakthrough comes. To God be all the glory!
