Well last three days cj has been really sick, and today and yesterday the worst. For example today w/in 3 hrs threw up over 10 times. He is just laying there, like he is dead, he is pail and just not himself, and acting in pain from throwing up. Going to be taking him in to the peds dr. to get checked out for dehydration and if he is hydrate him, then go to omaha again to do xrays, test on colon? and whatever else to try and figure it out. Will be there at least three days they said.
Hi, I just saw your blog from over on the BBC board. I will be praying for CJ to have a speedy recovery. And also, tha the docs can get to the bottom of whatever is going on.
ReplyDeletethx :)
ReplyDeleteHey Shell! This is Kristi from BBC. This is my first time reading your blog and I just realized our kiddos go to the same hospital. Tristan was just in Children's Omaha for his Nissen and hernia repair a week ago. All of his specialists are there except his GI. We started with Dr. Atard, and when he left we were left with Dr. Zapata. After too many times of him not listening to my concerns or taking me seriously (this went on for over a year) I finally switched Tristan to a pedi GI over at Boys Town. So far, so good.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry CJ isn't doing good right now :( Is he feeling any better yet?? Formula changes can be so hard on the tummy, too. Why did they switch him from the Nutra Jr. to Peptamen Jr? I have like three cases of the Peptamen Jr that Tristan can't have so if you ever need more just let me know!
Thats interesting to know bout zapata cause thats who were dealing w/ having problems w/ he never has wanted to do anything, if ever get anything accomplished it is b/c home dr or the surgeon stepped in. we are having the problem now he doensnt want to do anytest to see whats wrong and why he is throwing up, dr. here, therapists and nurses think he should but he wont. and they cant do it here in gi cause they don't have the stuff. Been very fustrating. This isnt the first thing that have had to harp on for a very long time before even a slim chance that he will do it, and alot of time when he finallly does something we get an answer to step forward so dont know why he doesnt want to do it in the first place. still in hospital, time will tell. zapata switched formula's b/c he said peptamin jr would be easier on his stomach and maybe thats whats causing him to throw up. Always neat to find more people who go to childrens
